Properties
Square washers provide wide bearing area for timber, steel and formwork joints.
Standards: DIN 436 square flat washer and DIN 434 square taper washer
DIN 434 taper: 8 percent for inclined I-beam and channel flanges
Use: structural bolting, formwork and heavy bearing surfaces
Surface Finish
Finish depends on standard, thickness and application environment.
Options: plain, black oxide, electro-zinc, hot-dip galvanizing and mechanical zinc
Confirm hole size, outside dimensions and thickness for non-standard parts
Large bearing surfaces may require project-specific packing
Packing & RFQ Notes
Square washer RFQs need standard, size and bearing-surface details.
RFQ fields: DIN 436 or DIN 434, size, material, finish, quantity and packing
For non-standard square or taper washers, add drawing and tolerance
Yes. Send a drawing or sample with material, thickness and tolerance. Tooling can be built on order confirmation.
What information is needed for custom stamping washers?
Drawing or sample, material grade, thickness, hole diameter, outer shape, tolerance, surface finish, quantity and packing requirement.
Can square washers be zinc plated or hot-dip galvanized?
Yes. Common finishes include zinc plating, mechanical zinc, hot-dip galvanizing, Dacromet and black oxide. Finish is confirmed at RFQ.
What is the difference between DIN 436 square washer and DIN 434 square taper washer?
DIN 436 is a flat square washer used for load distribution in timber and steel joints. DIN 434 has an 8% taper and is used on the inclined flanges of I-beams and channels so the bolt sits square to the surface.
Can you produce small-batch custom stamping parts?
Yes. Minimum order quantity is aligned at RFQ and varies by tooling and material. Send the drawing and quantity for a quotation.
